Preparing your top for Quilting:

• The backing should be at least 4 inches larger on each side than your quilt top and must be squared.  For example, a 60X60 inch quilt top will need a backing that is 68X68 inches.  
• The batting should also be approximately 4 inches larger on each side than your quilt top.  Because of the rigors of longarm quilting, batting should be of high quality.
